The Faith In Action Bridging Program provides community support through volunteer servcies to homebound individuals throughout Chippewa County. These services are designed to help clients and their families to maintain their independence, dignity and quality of life.

Skilled volunteers assist with special needs including respite care, friendly visits, assistance with shopping, transportation and delivery of supplies and equipment.

The bridging program is offered at no charge to clients. Each client is assessed individually, and services are provided based on need and availability of volunteers.
Volunteers are carefully screened and are provided with training throughout the year. Volunteers are of any age and come from many walks of life. They call upon their own wealth of life experiences and skills as they offer their help to others.

The volunteers of Hospice of Chippewa County generously donate their time to enhance the quality of care provided to Bridging patients and their families by: Providing respite care, transportation to doctor appointments, giving a warm smile, a reassuring hug, reading to patients, letter writing, and other activites, occasional shopping or running errands, delivery of supplies and equipment, companionship and bereavement support.
